AFC Dim Sum: Come to our first-Sunday-of-the-month Dim Sums at Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago at 12:30 p.m. Our next ones are Sun. April 5, May 3 and June 7, 2026. We meet on the second floor landing. Meal cost will be split among each table. After the meal, we typically march over to SoFo Tap, 4923 N. Clark in Chicago. If anyone wants to pre-game, come to Fat Cat, 4840 N. Broadway at 11:30 a.m.
Note that the April 5 Dim Sum is also Easter Sunday. Instead of SoFo, we’ll be headed to Max’s Place at 4621 N. Clark. Wear your best Easter bonnet and who knows? You may be rewarded!
Dying the Chicago River Green: AFC members will meet in the plaza in front of the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue just north of the Chicago River on Sat., March 14, 2026 at 10 a.m. We’ll watch them dye the river green for St. Patrick’s Day and either mosey on over to Second Story Bar at 157 E. Ohio for a drink or go to The House of Blues at 329 N. Dearborn, where we’ve just received free tickets to their “Shamrock 2026” event. Meet us at 10 a.m. to move as a group.
Burlesque in the West – AFC’s April Pride Fundraiser – Sat. April 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Holiday Club, 4000 N. Sheridan in Chicago. Join us for our Fundraiser at the Holiday Club Saloon! Celebrate the Wild West & Burlesque! (Burlesque used loosely) Limited appetizers served, Burlesque show, Raffle Prizes (more to come) and of course bar for you to purchase your favorite beverage.
Put on your cowboy boots, cowboy hat or country attire. Encouraged but not mandatory. This is our annual fundraiser to finalize and pay for our Asians & Friends Chicago Pride Parade Float. This year’s theme is Chinese Zodiac. Only $20 per person!

Pasta Palooza – Sat., May 17 in the afternoon at North End, 3733 N. Halsted in Chicago. As a sequel to our AFC Chili Cook-off, this year will be a pasta showdown. More details to come.
