AFC Dim Sum: Come to our first-Sunday-of-the-month Dim Sums at Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago at 12:30 p.m. Our next ones are Sun. June 7, July 5 and August 2, 2026. We meet on the second floor landing. Meal cost will be split among each table. After the meal, we typically march over to SoFo Tap, 4923 N. Clark in Chicago. If anyone wants to pre-game, come to Fat Cat, 4840 N. Broadway at 11:30 a.m.

South Loop Pride Party: Sat., June 13, 2026 – 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kevin & John will host an AFC Pride Party at 1430 South Michigan Ave PH1 Chicago Illinois 60605. Phone: (312) 331-0480. It will be a potluck; bring food and drink to share.

Pride Parade Build Party No. 1: Sunday, June 14, 2026 – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It’s that time! Help us build, paint, staple, hot glue and construct pieces and decor for our AFC Pride Parade Float. Hosted at Michael’s place at 4239 S. Langley Avenue, Chicago.

Pride Parade Build Party No. 2: Sunday, June 21, 2026 – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The build continues! Help us build, paint, staple, hot glue and construct pieces and decor for our AFC Pride Parade Float. Hosted at Michael’s; 4239 S. Langley Avenue, Chicago.

Pride Build & Party Party! Saturday, June 27, 2026 – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., we’ll have our final “Build” gathering. Then from 6 p.m. to midnight, we’ll have our Pre Pride Party. It’ll be the lasr day to put finishing touches on our AFC Pride Parade Float. When the clock strikes 6 p.m., we will celebrate Pride with food, drinks, entertainment and fun! Hosted at Michael’s; 4239 S. Langley Avenue, Chicago.

Pride Day: Sunday, June 28, 2026 – At 9 a.m., folks will start to gather at the to-be-announced Pride Float starting location north of Boystown. Marchers need to gather at 10 a.m. The parade kicks off at noon. At the end of the Parade at Cannon north of Fullerton, marchers and float riders will dimantle the float and head north. The post-part plans are to meet at Hollywood Beach and gather (weather permitting) with the Spanish Language Club. BYOB and potluck.

AFC at Ravinia: Sunday, July 19, 2026. This event will start with everyone gathering at 11 a.m. in the city to take the Metra train to Wilmette and the Ravinia Pavillion. More details to come, but a big thanks to Kevin and John for keeping this tradition alive.

AFC at Market Days: Saturday, August 8, 2026 – Noon at the corner of Addison and Halsted. This is the current plan. Stay tuned in if plans change.

AFC at Hollywood Beach: Sunday, August 16, 2026 – 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. We’ll meet in our usual spot on the south end of the beach under the trees. More details to come.

AFC’s Anniversary Party: Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026 at 2 p.m. We’ll head to the Halsted Hot Tub, where Mike and Dan will host us once again in their fabulous rooftop venue in Boystown. The address is 3526 N. Halsted. BYOB and potluck, but we’ll have basic beer, wine and starter liquor/mixers. We’ll also be charging our annual dues of $25/person or $40 for couples. DJ and entertainment will be provided.
