Here’s the schedule of Pride events for Asians and Friends Chicago:
Pride Parade:
Sun., June 29, 2025
Sign-in Time: 10 a.m.
Parade Start Time: 11 a.m.
Location: TBD, but usually in the Montrose-Sheridan area of Chicago. We will find out exactly where just days before the parade.
Ending Location: In the past, we’ve ended up on N. Cannon Drive, north of Fullerton near the Notebaert Museum (the butterfly museum). People walk west from there to get the bus or Uber. Sometimes folks park in that area and walk to their cars.
Post-Parade Gathering at Holiday Club, 4000 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, starting at 2 p.m. or 2:30 p.m., depending on when people start to arrive. The club will set up a table in the back bar for food ($5 donation if you want to eat), and will have a D.J. Come and round out your Pride celebrations with AFC!

Time: 1-4 p.m.

Time: 1-4 p.m.

Pre-Pride and Decoration/Building Party No. 3 and Pride Party
Sat., June 28, 2025
Building/Decoration Time: 1-5 p.m.
Pre-Pride Party Time: 5 p.m. – Midnight

Note: For the party, people are asked to bring potluck food items, but let Angel (AngelChgo@gmail.com) know what food you will be bringing. We are trying to get a variety of items for everyone to share.
NEW: Choreography
We will be teaching two short dances to go with our Wicked/Oz theme and will teach those routines to anyone interested in learning. The dance is NOT a requirement for marchers. It’s a fun option, open to all. We will teach the choreography at the three float-building parties noted above, as well as a rehearsal the week prior to the parade at a location and time TBD.
