Halloween is here. In addition to our Halloween Party this Saturday (10/31), we have our regular first-Sunday-of-the-month Dim Sum. That will be Sunday, Nov. 1 at 12:30 p.m. at Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago, per usual, with post-Dim Sum drinks at SoFo and pre-game at Fat Cat.
Then, as we announced earlier in the month, it’s a HALLOWEEN DRESS UP party! Instead of coming in your costume or makeup, come and get ready there at Lucky Horseshoe for the Halloween Parade. Of course, you can just come already dressed up, but maybe you want someone to help with your makeup or need some styling advice. Let your fellow AFC members help.
Again, we’ll be at Lucky Horseshoe Lounge, 3169 N. Halsted in Chicago from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday, October 31, 2026.
We’ll also be doing this potluck. Bring whatever dish, side or dessert you would like to share. And of course, there will be spooky games and some kind of amateur stripper action going on (when in Rome …).
If you want to march in the Parade, there’s a few steps you need to take. The parade has a new registration fee of $5. You can go to this link to register and pay.

You must pick up your number tag by 6 p.m. but you can do that anytime after 11 a.m., when organizers are hosting a pre-Halloween Parade festival called, “Haunted Halsted Fest.”
For Lucky Horseshoe, we’ll party in the back bar. Just slither straight through the front bar to find our “private” party. But you’ll go back out to that front bar to buy drinks.
Then at around 6-6:30 p.m., we’ll start moving to the start of the parade, just north of the bar. Some of us will march, while the rest of us find a place to cheer and watch.
