Non-Mandatory Zoom Orientation for Marchers, Riders: Wednesday, June 24, 2026 – 7 p.m. For riders and marchers who want the full tea about where, when, what and how regarding AFC’s Pride Parade entry, please dial in. AFC Pride Parade Dance Rehearsal for Marchers: We will be having a short, non-mandatory dance for marchers and we’ll be teaching it three times before the parade. Here’s the dates, places and times:
Thursday., June 25, 2026, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Joel Hall Dance Center, 4511 N. Clark in Chicago. Post rehearsal drinks at Max’s Place afterwards, 4621 N. Clark, just up the street.
Sat., June 27, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Michael N.’s place toward the end of the float-building gathering and just before the start of our Pre-Pride Party. That’s at 4239 S. Langley in Chicago.
Sun., June 28, 2026, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the staging site for the float. That will be Zone E on Sheridan, just east of Broadway, south curb.
Pride Build & Party Party! Saturday, June 27, 2026 – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., we’ll have our final “Build” gathering. Then from 6 p.m. to midnight, we’ll have our Pre Pride Party. It’ll be the lasr day to put finishing touches on our AFC Pride Parade Float. When the clock strikes 6 p.m., we will celebrate Pride with food, drinks, entertainment and fun! Hosted at Michael’s; 4239 S. Langley Avenue, Chicago.
Pride Day: Sunday, June 28, 2026 – At 9 a.m., folks will start to gather at staging site for the float, which will be in Zone E, on Sheridan Road just east of Broadway, south curb. Marchers need to gather at 10 a.m. to make sure they have signed a wavier form or submitted a signed wavier form. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. At the end of the Parade at Cannon north of Fullerton, marchers and float riders will dimantle the float and head north. The post-part plans are to meet at Hollywood Beach, south tree line and gather (weather permitting) with the Spanish Language Club. BYOB and potluck.
