AFC’s Pride weekend is full of events. Here’s the rundown:
Pre-Pride Float Building Gatherings: AFC will be asking volunteers to gather for two pre-Pride float building days. Both will be at Michael N.’s place at 4239 S. Langley in Chicago and both will be Saturdays, June 17 and June 24, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. After the second gathering on June 24, we’ll have our annual Pride Party from 5-8 p.m. We hope you can come and offer assistance with whatever building or crafting needs arise. See you then!
Pride Party: As mentioned, we’ll have our regular AFC Pride Party following the building gathering at Michael N.’s, 4239 S. Langley in Chicago from 5-8 p.m. Some prepared for some crazy antics at our annual Pride soiree!
Pride Parade and Post-Parade Party: For Pride Day, June 25, 2023, we’ll be meeting at our designated float starting spot (TBA), but typically north of Montrose on Broadway at 10 a.m. to help construct the float. Marchers can arrive at 11 a.m. but no later. Meeting places to be announced. Afterwards, we’ll head back up to Atmosphere Bar, 5355 N. Clark in Chicago, for a potluck celebration to honor all the hard work, fundraising and talent that we brought together.
