Come to our Pre-Pride Party this Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Vertigo Sky Lounge atop the Dana Hotel, 660 N. State (near Erie) in Chicago. 5-7 p.m. Free admission, but we’re just $250 away from our fundraising goal for our Pride Parade entry fee, float rental and decorations. You can also help by putting our website stickers on Mardi Gras beads we’ll be passing out to onlookers and by outlining your hand on construction paper. We’ll cut out the hands (that you’ve signed of course) and staple them on to our float as part of the decorations. Our theme is (as you can see by the centerpiece dress above) “Asians & Friends Chicago–Applaud Hands of Color.”
Then the week after, we’ve got our float in the Gay Pride Parade, which kicks off at noon at Montrose and Broadway the following Sun., June 28. The parade weaves down Broadway then Halsted down to Diversey then to the Lake. We’ll have information on where our float will be soon, but you can march with us if you like (our float population is maxed out but can always use marchers!). Call our hotline to RSVP and we’ll get you details when we receive them (312) 409-1573.
Right after the parade, we’ll go to Robert and Carter’s at 5338 N. Ashland for a post-Pride Parade party. All are welcomed. Just try to bring food or drink to share. Thanks Robert and Carter!
See you all Sunday for our Pre-Pride party and happy Pride!
