AFC members had the prviledge of dining with indie film director Patrick Wang and talk about his film “In the Family,” which will have distribution in several cities including at the Music Box here in Chicago on April 20. It’s a must-see, not just because one of the characters is a gay, Asian dad, but because the film resonates beyond race and into the essence of love, bravery and the bonds of parenthood.
