Asians and Friends Chicago accepted our induction into the city’s Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame last night from Mayor Richard M. Daley. Many of us also met former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and sat near former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun. Then it was off to the post-ceremony reception in the Mid America Club on the 80th floor of the Aon Tower. We capped it off at the newly reopened “Downtown” bar (formerly the Gentry on State and Illinois). The evening could not have been finer.
