In addition to our regular, first-Sunday-of-the-month Dim Sums at Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago, 12:30 p.m. second floor landing, we have two summer events:
Hollywood Beach Day: Sat., July 20, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. Meet near the volleyball nets at Hollywood Beach near Ardmore and Sheridan. Bring food/drink to share.
(NEW!) Party on the Dock: Sun., July 28, 1-5 p.m. Jackson Park Yacht Club, Outer Harbor, 6400 S. Promontory Dr. in Chicago. D Dock, the southern most pier. It’ will be the blue boat with a rainbow flag. We will use the dock space and an area on land to party. Parking is available at the north end of Promontory Drive in the Circle until 9 p.m., street parking on Promontory Drive is 24 hours and the south parking lot is open until 9 p.m. (See Dock Party post on our home page for details.)
AFC’s Anniversary Party: Halsted Hot Tub, 3526 N. Halsted, on Sat., Aug. 24 from 3-7 p.m. We’ll have hot dogs and hamburgers plus some beer/wine. Bring more food/drink if you can. We’re collecting annual dues ($25/person, $40/couple). We’ll also vote for our new Board members and roast our outgoing AFC Pres. Angel A. Bring swimwear and towels for the hot tub!
