Yes it’s that time! Jump in your nearest phone booth and swirl out as your favorite superhero!
Asians & Friends Chicago (AFC) is all set to see you dressed in superhero outfits at our January 2, 2022, first-Sunday-of-the-month AFC Dim Sum. It will be at our usual place, Furama Restaurant, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago, 2nd floor landing. We’ll meet promptly at 12:30 p.m. Feel free to come dressed as your favorite superhero (or bring your costume and dress in the restaurant’s restroom) and we’ll take our rag-tag bunch of comic-book warriors to SoFo Tap, 4923 N. Clark in Chicago at Argyle and Clark right afterwards.
Of course, with the COVID variant going around, we request that everyone be vaccinated and strongly suggest everyone have their booster. We also understand that many of you may feel uneasy about attending, and we hear you. We will understand if we do not see you for a couple of months as Chicago goes through the winter months.
We are still evaluating our annual February Chinese New Year’s Dinner and will have an announcement soon about whether or not to host that event. Thanks for your patience and we’ll see some of you on Sun., Jan. 2.
