Have the hots for a chili cook-off? Asians & Friends Chicago invites you to our first cook-off as a twist on our popular Dining Club experiences. The folks at The North End bar, 3733 N. Halsted in Chicago, are hosting us at 3 p.m. on Sun., March 12. Go ahead and bring a crock pot with your entry and we’ll plug it in. Not interested in cooking? Well, feel free to bring an entree, appetizer or desert. Prizes for the Top 3 entries! It’s free, but do bring some food to share. See you there! (Oh, and we’ll be passing the hat around to start fundraising for our AFC Gay Pride Parade float 2017.) Parking is paid on the street and should be no problem at that time. The event is about three blocks north of Addison and about five blocks east of the Addison Red Line L stop. It’s accessible via the Addison or Halsted buses.
