Chicago will soon play host to IFCON 2016 (www.ifcon2016.org). Here’s some shots from last year’s conference in New Orleans and here’s a link to a preview of what to expect in Chicago.
Now, to provide some transparency to all local Asians & Friends Chicago members and IFCON volunteers, the IFCON 2016 Chicago committee would like to invite you to an Open House meeting on Tues., Aug. 2, 6:30 p.m. at La Fonda, 5350 N. Broadway in Chicago. It’s a way for us to communicate the big plans, ask for last-minute feedback, open our books and discuss some of our decision making. It’ll also be an opportunity to start training folks on some of the jobs that will need to get done when our guests from around the country and the world start to stream into the DoubleTree downtown. But before then, we’re still needing businesses to place ads in our IFCON 2016 program, volunteers to conduct tours and man our hospitality suite/registration tables, and fill roommate spots for attendees wanting to cut hotel costs.
