Embracing the theme of absinthe—a distilled drink best known for giving those who partake a vision of the “green fairy”—Asians and Friends Chicago (AFC) will host a “Green (Fairy) Tea Party” to celebrate Pride month, as a way to honor the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community and raise money for AIDS-awareness and Japanese earthquake relief charities.
Suggested donation will be $15 prior to the event and $20 at the door. Donations can be given online through PayPal on this site or by mailing a check to Asians and Friends Chicago, P.O. Box A 3916, Chicago, Illinois 60690-3916.
Price includes a $0.95 credit card processing charge per ticket purchased.
In addition to a stunning view of downtown’s near north area, guests will take part in an absinthe presentation and tasting. Event sponsor GAM-TV USA will also be on hand to debut its official web site and show its comedy-drama “webisode” series called “Pink Underwear.”
