We’ve equipped our Asians and Friends Chicago Web site (www.afchicago.org) to accept PayPal payments for our Chinese New Year’s dinner this year (Year of the Rat!) at Phoenix Restaurant, 2131 S. Archer in Chicago (Chinatown) at 7 p.m. (cocktails; 7:30 p.m. dinner) on Sat. Feb. 16, 2008. It’s a 10% discount presale (through Jan. 31) on the $40 ticket.
So we’re geared up to really start promoting our event. If you’re coming, think about bringing one, two or even 10 friends! We’ll be posting our invitation announcement in PDF format in the coming days on our Web site, so you can e-mail it to everyone you think would want to come to Chicago’s only gay CNY celebration. We’re quickly running out of the 1,000 postcard-sized invitations we made up, but if you want some, we should be able get them to you via snail mail. We’ve had roughly 60-70 attendees in the past and our goal for 2008 is 100! Thanks and we look forward to a CNY evening that’s bigger and better than ever!
