Asians & Friends Chicago has set up a couple of summer\/fall events. One is coming up quickly–a Beach Party at Hollywood Beach on Sat., July 30 at 2 p.m. with a rain date at Big Chicks (5024 N. Sheridan, Chicago). Then in August, we’ll meet at Market Days on Sat., Aug. 6 at 5 p.m. and then our Anniversary Party is set for Sat., Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. Our rain date for the Anniversary Party will be North End (3733 N. Halsted, Chicago). Here’s the deets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AFC Beach Party:<\/strong> Sat., July 30 at 2 p.m.-5 p.m. or later at Hollywood Beach (Kathy Osterman Beach) at Hollywood and Ardmore in Chicago. We’ll set up just off the sand near the volleyball nets. Bring food and drink to share. (Rain day alternative is Big Chicks, 5024 N. Sheridan, Chicago.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Market Days:<\/strong> Sat. Aug. 6 at 5 p.m.-Whenever. We’ll meet outside the Addison Street entrance in the Shell gas station parking lot and roam from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anniversary Party:<\/strong> Sat., Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Halsted Hot Tub, 3526 N. Halsted in Chicago’s Boystown. It’s the rooftop of Michael R. and Dan T.’s building. We’ll focus on the hot tub this year, so bring your swim wear and towel. There’s a shower there for your convenience. Bring food or drink to share. Also, it’ll be time to pay your annual AFC dues of $25\/person $40\/couple. First-timers won’t have to pay and if times are tough, we will do sliding scale, so just come beeches. (Rain day alternative is North End, 3733 N. Halsted, Chicago.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are all in addition to our regular First-Sunday-of-the-Month Dim Sums <\/strong>at Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago, 2nd Floor Landing, at 12:30 p.m. Our next ones are Sun., Aug. 7, Sept. 4 and Oct. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
