The Museum will host displays of Philippine crafts and exhibits, as well as interactive productions by native performers and artists, during the weekend of June 12-15, 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, June 12, 2008 5:30pm &#8211; 8:00pm<br \/>\nSaturday, June 14, 2008 12:00pm &#8211; 4:30pm<br \/>\nSunday, June 15, 2008 12:00pm &#8211; 4:30pm<\/p>\n<p>The CCM&#8217;s &#8220;Passport to the World&#8221; series showcases the arts and traditions of Chicago&#8217;s many ethnic groups to provide opportunities for museum visitors to better understand Chicago&#8217;s unique multicultural community. Previous &#8220;Passport to the World&#8221; exhibits showcased Chicago&#8217;s Korean, Persian and American Indian communities.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first time that the series celebrates the Philippines. The weekend celebration begins on Thursday evening, June 12, 2008. The exhibits and performances will then continue Saturday and Sunday (June 14-15).<\/p>\n<p>There will be no presentation on Friday. On Thursday evening, both the Children&#8217;s Museum and the opening reception are free to the public.
