International Male Leather (IML). AFC members will gather at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 151 E. Wacker Dr. in Chicago, on the north end of the second-floor atrium bar at 10 p.m. It’s a mix-and-mingle that will end up at one of the free parties held at the hotel. It’s an opportunity to wear your leather, but is not required. The group will head to the parties at 11 p.m.

Gay Pride Parade. Asians and Friends will have a presence in this year’s Gay Pride Parade, where we will commemorate the organization’s 25th anniversary. Successful fundraising at our 25th Anniversary Ball this past May will allow us to rent a float for this special year. To help or to sign up to participate, please leave your name and number on our hotline: (312) 409-1573. Post-parade plans to be determined, but previous year’s we’ve met at Thai Classic, 3332 N. Clark right after the parade around 3 p.m. This year, plans may include a party at the Wild Pug, but stay tuned.

Backyard BBQ and Games! Wally and Chris are hosting AFC members in the burbs! Meet and mingle with our newly merged Long-Yang Club members. Our hosts will have hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, buns and condiments, potato salad, beer, soft drinks and assorted desserts.
