Kevin stold the show with his amazing Thai-inspired dress made from the covers of magazines. Geico “Gayco” also made an appearance, as did the Green Lantern and a couple of Angry Birds. Thanks again to Glen R. for loaning us the tikis and wicker chairs and to Charlie B. at @mosphere for hosting. Happy Halloween to all!
Siam Noodle Party
Last night’s AFC Dining Club at Siam Noodle was a homespun experience, with members getting a lot of attention from the wait staff. The food was hot (spicy) and filling. Forbidden Jungle: AFC’s Halloween Bash! Fri. Oct. 28, 7-10 p.m.
It’s time for our annual AFC Halloween Bash! This year, it’s “Forbidden Jungle: Asians and Friends Annual Halloween Bash” at @mosphere 5355 N. Clark in Chicago. It’s this Friday (10/28) from 7-10 p.m. An enchanted rainforest theme complete with haunted tikis will transport guests to an ancestral playground of spirits past. Costume contest, food, 50-50 raffle and GAM-TV will preview its latest websiode series: “Pink Underwear: Love on the Rocks!”

Oktoberfest!
It was all about beer and polka. The attendees at AFC’s Dining Club this month totally got the fun of Oktoberfest at Brahaus. The next spot in November will be Broadway Cellars. More info to come!

Free Yoga Classes Continue Through the Fall
Keith M. of AFC continues his free yoga classes. All are welcome.

(Additional dates will be added soon) The classes are held at the Moksha Yoga studio in Logan Square, 2528 W Armitage 2nd floor – the entry code for the front door is *2525. There is free diagonal parking on the east side of the building.
These classes are free of charge and are taught at the beginner level – no previous yoga experience is assumed. They last approximately 90 minutes. Mats and props are provided.

October Festivities!
Our next AFC Dining Club will be an Oktoberfest night on Thurs., Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at the famed Chicago Brauhaus, 4732 N. Lincoln near Lawrence and Western. The Blue Line, Western and Lawrence busses will get you there. Parking is paid on the street and is relatively open. RSVP is early so we can get a larger group in, so do so by Fri. Oct. 14. And while we’ll have our regular Dim Sum at Furama, 4936 N. Broadway on Sun. Oct. 2, at 12:30 p.m., we’re also actively planning our next big event, which is our annual Halloween party at @mosphere, 5355 N. Clark on Fri., Oct. 28 from 7-10 p.m. Like last year, we’ll be having a $100 prize for costumes in one, possibly two categories. If you’d like to be on the committee to plan the event, call our hotline. We’d be glad to have you (on the committee).
