Our first-Sunday-of-the-month Dim Sum in August falls on the second day of Halsted Market Days, so think about moving down to Boy's Town after we eat. We'll start with our regular Dim Sum at Furama Restaurant, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago, 12:30 p.m. Meet at the second-floor landing and be prompt! Cost of the meal will be split among attendees and typically ranges from $15-$20. No RSVP required. Then we'll meet at the Caribou Coffee at 3500 N. Halsted at 3 p.m. for a romp through Halsted Market Days.

AFC’s 25th Anniversary Party! Join AFC members as we kick off the organization’s 25th year with our annual beach celebration. We’ve moved the party up to take advantage of the tail-end of summer. It will be held at Steve R.’s condo in the garden (or party room depending on the weather) out back of 5801 N. Sheridan in Chicago. We’ll need to collect dues at $20 for individuals and $35 for couples. Bring a potluck dish and BYOB to help. The festivities start at noon and will go until 4 p.m. See you all there!
